Shared on June 22, the video received over 1,16,000 views as many social media users hailed the railway employees for their grit as they risk their life to keep the train moving.
“Salute to their commitment. However, it would’ve been better if they had safety gear as well. I’m almost sure SOPs must have mentioned them and they practice these contingencies regularly. Kudos to the whole team,” a user reacted.
However, a section of users questioned the safety measures taken by the employees. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Walking along the span off a bridge without any safety harness. Isn’t there any other way this can be unlocked?” Responding to it, IRTS officer Kumar wrote, “Bridges are being retrofitted with fath way.”
In 2021, a video of a railway employee risking his life to save a six-year-old boy took over social media. The viral video shows the employee springing into action when the infant fell on the tracks.
