Restaurants and cafes across the globe are leaving no stone unturned to attract customers. In an attempt to create a buzz among foodies, a snack kiosk in Ahmedabad has set up a robot to serve ice golas to customers and the move has taken the internet by storm. A viral video of the same shows a pop-up truck named ‘Robotic Cafe’ using a robot, Aisha.

According to reports, the robot – specially designed to serve ice golas – costs around Rs 1.35 lakh. The now-trending video has been shared by Kartik Maheshwari, a food blogger from Ahmedabad. The clip opens with the robot walking towards the customers with a serving tray. As the video progresses, one can see its owner standing next to the robot and waving at the customers.

Once the ice gola is prepared, the robot on wheels takes it to the customer. Sharing the clip, the blogger wrote, “Robot serving ice gola. first time in Ahmedabad. Starting from ₹40 & totally worth it. Hygienic & fully automatic.”

The video took over the internet in no time, amassing a myriad of reactions ranging from applause for the automaton to approval for its hygiene level. One user was quick to connect the development to the sheer number of engineers in the country, “Hence proved engineers quit engineering and do all the nonsense.” Shedding some light on the snack served, another netizen commented, “This dish is called bingsu … a popular Japanese desert. Shaved ice and shaved ice cream.”

“Saras che (Good),” another, posting in Gujarati, approved. “Rajnikant be like, my robot powers are being misused,” joked a user.

Recently, a video of a travel vlogger getting his food delivered by a robot at a hotel in China’s Shanghai had left social media users spellbound.
