The video quickly gained traction, sparking an array of reactions from professionals. “Even security guards at the Google office have BTech degrees,” a user wondered. “Bigg Boss mujhe hurt ho rha hai (Bigg Boss, it’s hurting),” another user commented.
“Hum layoff me nikle hue employees kahan jaayein (Where should laid-off employees go?),” a third user reacted.
Earlier, another clip had surfaced from Google’s Bengaluru office, showing similarly lively Diwali festivities. That video showed a beautifully decorated space, with marigolds strung across, and snack-laden tables.
The video cuts to an elaborate buffet spread. A chaat station featured fresh ingredients like onions, herbs, and chickpeas, with a chef assembling each treat while a staff member served pani puri. The menu also included stir-fried noodles, kebabs topped with herbs, and various hot dishes.
Beyond the food and decorations, the clip also captured several goodies, including custom gift boxes and a variety of engaging activities, designed to make employees feel special during the festive season.
Diwali, the festival of lights, is observed during the Hindu lunisolar months of Ashwin and Kartika, which fall between mid-October and mid-November in the Gregorian calendar. The festival falls on Kartik Amavasya, the new moon night of Kartik, known as the darkest night of the year.
