‘Papa ki sherni’: Gorakhpur girl’s fearless handstand descent stuns the Internet

A girl from Gorakhpur is making headlines for descending an entire flight of stairs, 72 steps in total, entirely on her hands. In a now-viral video, the girl – Mithi – who goes by @mithithefighter on social media, is seen performing the stunt, without any assistance.

The video, which has captured the attention of thousands, shows Mithi standing atop a high staircase, 50 feet off the ground. With confidence, she addresses the camera, “Hi friends, main 50 feet ki unchai par khadi hoon aur yeh jo bahattar seediyaan hain, yeh main aaj haathon par utar kar dikhane wali hoon. Jaise aap logon ko apne pairon par bharosa hai, waise mujhe apne haathon par bharosa hai” (I’m standing at a height of 50 feet, and today I’m going to descend these 72 steps on my hands. I trust my hands the way you trust your feet).

Then, without hesitation, she flips into a handstand and begins to move down all 72 steps, counting each one aloud. The sheer strength, control, and fearlessness displayed in the act have left viewers amazed.

Social media users have flooded the comments with admiration and awe. “Me to aage ko hi gir jaungi,” said one viewer. Another wrote, “You have done a very adventure truly commendable.” A third user commented, “Isse kehte hain papa ki sherni. All the best!”

Though many celebrated her incredible skill, a few voices in the crowd expressed concern, pointing out the risks involved in such stunts.
