“Made me sad how these kids have missed the very essence of childhood and education due to Naxals, hope we can do everything for them now,” the post added.

The video quickly went viral, getting over two lakh views. However, the video also triggered a debate with many social media users reflecting on the sedentary lifestyle of urban children. “If you think the other way, it’s good they don’t have mobile phones. Or they will be wasted like urban kids. Yes of course they should have basic amenities but then they live remote, off the grid,” a user wrote. “You should know who is responsible for keeping these children away from mainstream limiting their development,” another user commented.

“Cartoon is neither essence of childhood, nor education. It’s a virtual dopamine generator. For the children, they are happy in the natural environment. Requirement is food, nourishment, education, not cartoons from some psyop,” a third user reacted. “God save these kids from the Naxalites and the cartoon bearing CRPF too. Education,” a fourth user chimed in.
