Vicky Kaushal’s highly-anticipated Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, hit the silver screen last Friday. The historical drama is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha empire, and has been adapted from the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. Videos of fans raving about the film have flooded the Internet, however, one video in particular is stirring up attention.

The viral video shows a fan dressed in traditional attire, similar to Kaushal’s character in Chhaava, riding on horseback and entering the theatre. The video also shows him chanting slogans like ‘Jai Bhavani’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’ while the audience makes videos of him. The incident reportedly took place at a theatre in Nagpur.

Sharing the video, an X handle @doug_1399 wrote, “How did they manage to bring a horse inside lmaooo.”

With over half a million views, the video prompted hilarious reactions on the platform. “Was there a special ‘royal entry’ ticket? Or did he just ride in with a ‘Chhatrapati’ pass, leaving the rest of us on foot?” a user wrote. “You only can’t carry food inside … rest all is fine,” another user commented.

Meanwhile, a man in Gujarat was allegedly arrested for vandalising the screen of a local multiplex during the screening of Chhaava. The incident occurred on Sunday night at RK Cinemas during the last show at 11.45 pm. According to officials, the man, in an inebriated state, charged towards the screen to “attack Aurangzeb after being overwhelmed.”

Besides Kaushal, Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandaana, Akshaye Khanna, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana in key roles.
