Soon after the video came to light, Railway Seva urged the user to share details to enable immediate action. According to a report in NDTV, the woman is believed to be mentally unstable. Chandana Deepti, Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Railway Police, said, “A preliminary probe into the matter revealed she worked with a multi-national company until recently. She is from Uttar Pradesh.”

“We have recorded her driving licence and PAN card from the vehicle,” Deepti said. The report further stated that the authorities are exploring the possibility that the woman may have attempted to die by suicide and frame the incident as her murder. As a safety measure, railway authorities said at least 10 to 15 passenger trains, including a Bengaluru-Hyderabad service, had to be diverted.
