Bigg Boss OTT season 1 winner and actor Divya Agarwal is receiving backlash for allegedly failing to pay the brokerage amount to her real estate broker. Rafique Merchant, a popular real estate consultant, recently released a video requesting the actor to pay him, and claiming Agarwal and her husband Apurva Padgaonkar blocked his messages. In the now-viral video, Merchant says, “Divya Agarwal, please meri brokerage release kar do. Mera 1 per cent, mera haq mujhe adda kar do. Meine aapko Lodha Bel Air mein flat bechke de diya. Aap raazi-khushi se meeting mein aaye, registration mein aaye. Uske baad aapne phone uthana band kar diya aur block kar diya. Messages, DMs, sab block kar diya. Please aise kyun kar rahe ho? (Divya Agarwal, please release my brokerage money. Please give me my 1 per cent. I sold your flat in Lodha Bel Air. You were exhilarated during the meeting and attended the registration process also. Then, you stopped answering my calls and blocked me. You blocked my messages, DMs everything).” “Apurva Padgaonkar, you are a well-known celebrity and a famous businessman. Lekin unhone brokerage release nahin ki hai. Humari koi galti nahin hai. Please release my brokerage (I request Divya and Apurva's friends to speak to them and tell them that we did our job. Social media users slammed the couple over the broker’s claims. Reacting to the viral video, a user wrote, “Shameful ! These celebs should be ashamed at doing this.” Another user commented, “80 per cent of IT folks in Pune do this. They cheat their brokers - buyers and sellers alike.” “Even if the so called celebrity did not earned decent profit as per them in buying and selling the said property, that does not concern the brokerage,” a third user reacted.
