Delhi’s soaring temperatures turn ‘besan ke laddoo’ into a ‘puddle’

As Delhi simmers under an unrelenting heat wave, residents are running from pillar to post to get some respite from the scorching temperatures. This also prompted many social media posts from residents venting their frustrations and sharing their heatwave struggles. Among them is a post by X user Bhumika that has gone viral.

Bhumika shared a photo of a box with what appears to be some brown fluid. Her caption, however, said, “Dear, Besan ke laddoo. Welcome to Delhi ki garmi!” hinting that the sweltering weather in Delhi melted the solid laddoos in the box into a puddle.

Reacting to the post, one user said, “Besan ke laddu identifying themselves as besan ka halwa.” Another user wrote, “Again this happened?” A third user said, “This is not Besan ka ladoo, it’s Besan ka Cake..” Another X user commented, “That’s insanely hot. I wish you Delhiites well!”
