This year, of the 16,33,730 students who registered for the CBSE Class 12 exams, as many as 16,21,224 students appeared. Of them, 14,26,420 students passed the exams. The CBSE conducted the class 12 exams from February 15 to April 2, and Class 10 board exams were held between February 15 and March 13 in a pen-and-paper mode.

In 2023, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 was 87.33 per cent, which is a dip from last year’s performance (-5.38), however, as per the board, it has increased from the pre-pandemic years. In 2022, the overall pass percentage was 92.71 per cent in comparison to 88.78 per cent in 2020 and 83.40 per cent in 2019.
