The audio product company BoAt on March 30 released a new ad campaign, urging people to switch from Apple to boAt. The new ad shows parents grilling their daughter for using ‘another’ earphones for listening to songs. As the video progresses, it shows the daughter introducing boAt airdopes to her family. However, her mother argues saying, “You belong to i family pro max. You forgot brand loyalty and ecosystem.” The daughter then says, “I fell in love with its sound and not just the brand. They don’t leave my side and work for 120 hours.” When her grandmother shows her concern about people talking about it, she replies, “Let them talk, it perfectly cancels out noise.” The video ends with an automated voice saying, “Don’t be a fanboy, be a boAthead.” Sharing the video on X, the official handle of boAt wrote, "Disclaimer: No Fruits were harmed in the making of this film. It's time to give an Indian brand a chance to compete on the global level. Don’t be a fanboy, be a boAthead." Watch the viral ad here: The video has accumulated countless reactions from gadget buffs, sparking a debate online. Challenging the advertisement, a user wrote, “Sorry Boat, but nice try. Lage raho. By the way, you have a long way to go before you can take potshots at Apple. We will root for you, but don't make this awkward.” Another user argued, “Boat shouldn’t try to compare with Apple. I didn’t think they are playing in that market at all. I bought boat for all the reasons in the video. I felt exactly like what you said in your comment. Apple costs 10x more, but sound is 100x better. No comparison!” “Nice one @amangupta0303 best AD in long long time,” the third user wrote. “I dont know whether the girl in that video switched to Boat for Audi quality or for the money she gets for advertising it!” another user reacted.
