On the first day of Parliament’s monsoon session, BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from Rajya Sabha and there are rumours that he is likely to join the Aam Aadmi Party. Amid the development, #NavjotSinghSidhu is trending on Twitter with people on social media sharing their opinion on this sudden move.

Unsurprisingly – since Twitterati make for absolutely great online miners – many users have dug out AAP leader Dr Kumar Vishwas’ tweets from 2013 where he has called the then BJP MP “Farar MP of Amritsar” and “Farzi Rashtrawadi Abscond MP”. The tweets went viral within minutes of sharing.

And this is what Vishwas shared today.

Reportedly, Siddhu was not very comfortable with his position in the party. “With the closure of every window leading to Punjab, the purpose stands defeated. It is now a mere burden, I prefer not to carry it,” he said in a statement.

Nevertheless, it’s not confirmed if he’ll be pleased after looking at these tweets. But then, as they say – there is no such thing as permanent friends or enemies in politics.
