Blinkit and BigBasket's CEOs take the internet by storm (Image source: @albinder, @harimenon_bb/X)Quick commerce platforms are all the rage in this fast-paced world. BigBasket, the online grocer, once the most used platform for essentials, has now been dominated by platforms that deliver products to customers within 10 minutes. However, Blinkit and BigBasket CEOs are not rivals and the viral X banter between Albinder Dhindsa of Blinkit and Hari Menon of BigBasket is a testament to it.
It all started when a post suggested ‘Quick commerce wars’ between BigBasket vs Blinkit after the latter announced its collaboration with Unicorn Infosolutions Pvt Ltd to deliver iPhone 16 in less than 10 minutes. “Quick commerce wars: Bigbasket vs Blinkit competing on iPhone 16 deliveries in less than 10 mins. A decade ago, Bigbasket and then Grofers had just started competing in the grocery delivery market,” the post read.
Reacting to the viral post, Dhindsa shared a selfie with Menon. “What war?”, Dhindsa wrote.

The viral thread set the internet abuzz, prompting a sea of reactions. A user wrote, “What a wholesome thread!” Another user commented, “Is this pic taken on the #Iphone16? Have you both ordered your iPhones from each others platforms yet?”
“Who delivered who in 10 minutes,” a third user said.
On Friday, Blinkit said it has joined hands with Unicorn, an Apple reseller in India, to supply the newly launched iPhone 16 smartphones to customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and select areas of Lucknow. The announcement generated a massive buzz on social media.
