International Tea Day is celebrated on May 21.

On May 21 tea enthusiasts and advocates worldwide come together to celebrate International Tea Day, which honours the rich cultural heritage, economic significance and environmental impact of the humble tea leaf.

Adding to the festivities, the popular food delivery app Swiggy has shared a fun and engaging post. As people on social media raised their cups in reverence, Swiggy’s post stood out with its creative and humorous take on why tea, or ‘chai’ as most Indians call it, is the best of the best.

Swiggy’s post, captioned “everyday is ‘international tea day’ for chai lovers #InternationalTeaDay”, featured a graphic divided into two sides. One side depicted artificial intelligence and the other, chai, each with its own list of reasons.

The post cleverly showcased that while AI can be dominating and stressful, adding the letter c transforms it into chai, which takes away all the stress and helps one sleep peacefully.

So far, the post has got 2,000 views and it is steadily gaining more attention.
