People are always searching for fresh, out-of-the-box ways to celebrate special moments. Have you ever thought of throwing a party inside a metro coach? Sounds wild, doesn’t it? Well, that’s exactly what caught everyone’s attention when Divyata Upadhyay, an Agra-based vlogger, posted a reel on Instagram showing what looked like a Haldi ceremony happening inside an Agra Metro train. Dropping a comment under the viral post, they clarified that it wasn’t a Haldi function, but actually a private Basant Panchami-themed party. Their statement read, “This is to inform that this wasn’t a Haldi Function, but a private Basant Panchmi themed party. Any kind of wedding festivities are not permitted inside Agra Metro. Any kind of misinformation is discouraged.” But this clarification didn’t exactly sit well with everyone. People flooded the comments with questions and sarcasm. One user commented, “No wedding celebrations but private parties are allowed?? What nonsense is this? Only in UP.” Another user wrote, “Difference kya h be, theme party or haldi party,” while someone else said, “Bhaisaab ye kis line mein aa gaye aap (What have you come down to.)” In her reel, Upadhyay also mentioned that Agra Metro offers a unique service where you can rent a metro coach for special occasions. There’s just one rule—you can’t bring food. Noida Metro, too, has a similar concept. Since 2022, they’ve allowed people to book metro coaches for birthdays, pre-wedding shoots, and other celebrations.
