Chandrika Gera Dixit, popular as Delhi’s vada pav girl, recently grabbed attention with her stall, ‘Mumbai ka famous vada pav (Authentic Mumbai vada pav)’. A video capturing Dixit in tears while selling the vegetarian snack has gone viral. In the video, she alleges that she has been under pressure from officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to shut down her food stall. Dixit further claims that despite recently paying the officials between Rs 30,000-35,000, they continue to demand money from her.

SRK with Ed Sheeran

Ahead of his recent concert in Mumbai, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran partied with Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan. Taking to his Instagram, Sheeran shared a video wherein SRK teaches him his signature pose. In the caption, the ‘Shape of You’ singer wrote, “This is the Shape of Us. Spreading love together….”

In the clip, King Khan – all smiles – is seen hugging and kissing the singer. Director Farah Khan, who shot the video and posted it on her account, commented, “If this was the last thing I directed i ll die happy.”

Delhi woman finds 8 cockroaches in meal

A woman had an unsavoury experience at the Madras Coffee House located in Connaught Place, New Delhi. In the video shared on Instagram, Ishani said she found eight cockroaches in a plain dosa served to her at the restaurant.

Sharing the clip, she wrote, “We ordered two dosa’s and soon after a few bites I saw something odd and picked it up from my meal. It was a cockroach. And soon there were EIGHT COCKROACHES, in ONE DOSA. It breaks my heart to recall what has happened.”

She further informed that she filed a police complaint. “I filed a complaint at the local police station in CP. I am also sharing all the details to all the concerned authorities for food sanitation & hygiene, & here as evidence,” she added.

John Cena’s nude appearance at Oscars 2024

American wrestler-actor John Cena made it to the top of the trends list on social media soon after appearing near-naked to present the Oscar for Best Costume Design at the 96th Academy Awards. Cena was invited onstage for a segment in which he was meant to appear nude, in a reference to the 1974 Oscars when a male streaker disrupted the event.

Ahmedabad’s ice gola-serving robot

A snack kiosk in Ahmedabad set up a robot to serve ice golas to customers, taking the internet by storm in the process. A viral video of the same showed a pop-up truck named ‘Robotic Cafe’ using the robot named Aisha. The clip also showed the robot walking towards the customers with a serving tray.

Nepal ‘GenZ protest’: India urges citizens to exercise caution amid indefinite curfew

Soon after an indefinite curfew was imposed in Kathmandu, New Delhi Tuesday urged Indian nationals in Nepal to “exercise caution and adhere to the steps and guidelines issued by the Nepali authorities” following the ‘GenZ protests’. The Kathmandu District Administration Office issued the curfew orders effective from 8.30 am until further notice.
