President of Pakistan’s GEO Entertainment and TV anchor Aamir Liaquat Husain resigned over fellow Geo News anchors Rabia Anum and Muhammad Junaid wearing Army Public School’s uniform during their news bulletin on December 15. The act was in the memory of school children who had died during the Taliban attack in Peshawar on December 16, 2014. He found the act highly ‘insensitive’ and took to Twitter to share his despair.
I am resigning as a President of GEO Entertainment because I am not heard here but It will not stop from standing for the right

This is not solidarity but utter nonsense to seek more attention and to hurt feelings may be un intentionaly but they are doing it

Apologies to those mothers who are watching GEO news on this day & get hurt by seeing uniforms that bring painful memories #APSMartyrs — Aamir Liaquat Husain (@AamirLiaquat) December 15, 2015
He even blamed India for last year’s massacre while venting out his frustration.
Does wearing these uniform means that no news from India ( responsible for the massacre) would be broadcasted? #APSMartyrs

A video has been uploaded on the Web with the anchors introducing the bulletin and explaining the reason for wearing the uniform. They started by naming the kids who had lost their lives.
