PewDiePie has topped Forbes list of YouTube millionaires

On Thursday, Forbes released a list of eleven of world's top-earning YouTube stars and the magazine says Kjellberg tops its first list of people who have spun short online videos into huge piles of cash.

Vlogging (video blogging) has taken over the way YouTube is used these days. YouTube, in fact, is a great source of income if you have have the right number of subscribers on your channel. Many have made millions out of this and the top-earning YouTube celebrity is Felix Kjellberg, aka PewDiePie which is his alias on the website. The man is a 25-year-old video-game-playing jokester who raked in $12 million in the year ending June 1, 2015.

On Thursday, Forbes released a list of eleven of world’s top-earning YouTube stars and the magazine says Kjellberg tops its first list of people who have spun short online videos into huge piles of cash.

This Swedish web-based comedian has over 39 million subscribers on his channel and has received over 10 billion views. What he does is upload funny gaming videos and interact with his “Bro Army”; that’s what he calls his fan base.

Others on the list include prankster duo Smosh — Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla — and the Fine Brothers, Benny and Rafi Fine on number second, Dancing violinist Lindsey Stirling ranked fourth with $6 million, Make-up artist Michelle Phan was seventh at $3 million.

Extremely famous in India, Canada-based comedian Lily Singh aka Superwoman has also made it to the list on number 8 with $2.5 million.
