Freddy, a towering 7ft 6in Great Dane in the UK has officially been crowned the world’s biggest dog, according to a media report.

The massive pooch in Essesx was officially bestowed the title by the Guinness World Records, The Sun reported. Weighing 92kg, Freddy costs his owner Claire Stoneman around 12,500 pounds a year in maintenance and feeding costs.

His favourite snack is an entire roast chicken and peanut butter on toast – but also devoured 23 sofas while growing up. Stoneman told The Star that sitting on the sofa with him was like lying next to a newborn elephant.
