Walking his daughter down the aisle is a special moment for any father. However, Neil Crossley, 60, left the guests—and now the Internet—in splits after he forgot to bring his daughter with him while walking down the aisle. The video, now going viral, captured Crossley walking solo toward the altar at Holmfirth Vineyard in Yorkshire, England.
In the video, Crossley almost makes it to the altar when a wedding guest staff runs behind him and stops him. The frame then shifts to the groom, laughing along with amused guests, as Crossley realises his error.
The clip continues with the bride joining her father, taking his hand, and finally making their way down the aisle together. Sharing the video on Instagram, BBC News said, “This father of the bride forgot something important…Oops…don’t forget the bride!” in the caption.

Several social media users shared their hilarious reactions to the video. A user wrote, “This is the most dad thing to do lol.” Another user commented, “He was so excited about the happiest day of his life that his daughter was getting married. Congratulations to the family.”
“I thought he decided to marry his son-in-law,” a third user said. “A father in law that loves his son in law to be so much that he would marry him himself,” another user commented.
“After the initial fumble, it just felt very funny to everyone, including myself. I even managed to sneak it into my father-of-the-bride speech at the reception afterwards,” Crossley told The Yorkshire Post.
