Donald Trump and Melania Trump recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. Trump, in two X posts, one from his personal account and one from the official X account of the President of the United States of America, shared a photo each with his wife.
From his personal account, Trump shared a throwback photo from their wedding day saying, “Happy 20th Anniversary to Melania!”
The official account shared a post featuring Trump and Melania. The caption read, “Celebrating 20 years with my beautiful wife and our incredible First Lady, Melania. You’re an extraordinary wife and a wonderful mother. Happy Anniversary, @FLOTUS.”
The couple has been a constant presence in the public eye for the past decade, mostly due to Trump’s presidency and his campaigns for office. However, Trump’s time in the spotlight goes even further back, as he gained widespread attention through his reality TV show, The Apprentice.
Trump and Melania Knauss first crossed paths in 1998 at a party, and their relationship eventually led to marriage in 2005. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, with 350 guests in attendance. Following the vows, the celebration continued with a lavish reception at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
Melania’s wedding gown was a stunning Christian Dior creation that cost a whopping $100,000. The gown featured a 13-foot train and a 16-foot veil adorned with crystal beading. Crafting her entire outfit took more than 500 hours of hand sewing, reported Fox News.
In March 2006, Donald and Melania welcomed their son, Barron. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Melania joined her husband on the trail, though she chose not to move to the White House right away after his win. Instead, she and Barron remained in New York until he finished his school year in June 2017.
