In the 1990s, a penguin named LaLa became a local sensation in Japan. Rescued by the Nishimoto family after being found trapped in a fishing net with injuries, LaLa, a king penguin, not only recovered but found a home.
The family, recognising his attachment, created a comfortable living space, including a refrigerated room to mimic his Antarctic habitat.
