The incumbent AAP is seeking to secure a third consecutive term this year, while the saffron party aims to regain power after a 25-year absence. Meanwhile, the grand old party is looking to make a comeback after facing a decade-long electoral struggle.
The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR)’s recent report highlighted an increase in the influence of financial resources compared to the previous 2020 elections.

There’s a substantial presence of ultra-rich candidates, with millionaires rising in this year’s Delhi assembly elections, with BJP, AAP, and Congress—predominantly fielding these affluent candidates.
ADR reported that there’s an increase in the number of candidates with assets exceeding Rs 50 crore, from 13 in 2020 to 23 this year.
Top richest candidates in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025
The BJP dominates this category, with the most ultra-wealthy candidates, with the highest average wealth, at Rs 22.90 crore, followed by the Congress at Rs 14.41 crore; meanwhile, AAP candidates have the lowest average disclosed assets, totalling Rs 11.70 crore.
The research also names five millionaires (more than Rs 100 crore) as candidates; the richest candidates in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 are mentioned below, along with their total assets.

Contesting from Shakur Basti against AAP senior leader and sitting MLA, Satyendar Jain, BJP’s Karnail Singh, is the richest candidate in the Delhi Assembly elections 2025.
Next is Manjinder Singh Sirsa from the BJP vying for the seat of Rajouri Garden and contesting against AAP’s sole millionaire candidate Dhanwati Chandela.

Notably, the party’s New Delhi candidate, Parvesh Sahib Singh, is also one of the five millionaires contesting against the AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal, and Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit, son of former chief minister Sheila Dikshit.

Furthermore, even Congress has a lone millionaire candidate, Gurcharan Singh Raju, contesting from Krishna Nagar against sitting MLA S. K. Bagga (Advocate).
Candidates with zero and the lowest assets in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025
Shabana from the Rashtriya Republican Party, contesting for the Seelampur seat, independent candidate Yogesh Kumar from South-West Matiala and Mohinder Singh, affiliated with the Rashtriya Rashtrawadi Party for the same seat, have reported no assets.
Additionally, three candidates have the lowest declared assets, excluding those with zero assets. Ashok Kumar, an independent candidate from South Ambedkar Nagar, has ₹6,586 in total assets.

Anita from New Delhi, an independent candidate, has reported total assets of ₹9,500.
Finally, Khilkhilakar from North-West Mangol Puri represents the Bahujan Shoshit Samaj Sangharsh Samta Party and has declared movable assets of ₹10,000 and no immovable assets, resulting in total assets of ₹10,000.
