Top 10 countries for digital nomads in the 2025 list: The adoption of remote work today, as more than a trend, which was accelerated by the pandemic, resulted in a significant rise in people opting to work from another country in pursuit of new cultural experiences and to enjoy a better quality of life.
As a result, 91% of tracked nomad/remote-worker visas were launched after 2020, according to the Global Digital Nomad Report 2025 by Global Citizen Solutions, to thereby attract more skilled, high-spending and low-dependency professionals.

India ranks #38 with a score of 84.85 overall, according to the report. Known for its affordability and vibrant cultural experiences, it holds the #1 position on the Economics Index, reflecting economic strength and attractiveness, #5 on the Citizenship and Mobility Index, and #23 on the Procedure Index.
However, it falls to #52on the Tax Optimisation Index, #39 on the Quality of Life Index, and #45 on the Tech and Innovation Index, indicating room for improvement in taxation, living standards, and innovation capacity.
