Top 10 countries for digital nomads in the 2025 list: The adoption of remote work today, as more than a trend, which was accelerated by the pandemic, resulted in a significant rise in people opting to work from another country in pursuit of new cultural experiences and to enjoy a better quality of life. As a result, 91% of tracked nomad/remote-worker visas were launched after 2020, according to the Global Digital Nomad Report 2025 by Global Citizen Solutions, to thereby attract more skilled, high-spending and low-dependency professionals. This concept emerged as digital nomadism, a lifestyle in which individuals use technology to work while relocating across several countries worldwide. Europe stands out in the list, accounting for about 70% of the rankings, and is preferred due to its structured frameworks and access to the Schengen Zone, despite relatively high living costs and worldwide taxation. America makes up 20% of the list, benefiting from its lifestyle, favourable climate, and tax-free regimes. The Middle East/Asia accounts for the remaining 10% as it rapidly positions itself as a key region for digital nomads, known for having excellent infrastructure, the world’s fastest internet speeds, and zero income tax burdens.
