Largest women employers in India 2025: Leading Indian firms have added approximately 1.4 million new jobs and are now employing a total of 8.4 million individuals as of 2024, Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 reports. According to the report, women hold 17% of board positions, and throughout the year, 13 women have taken on leadership roles, in addition to a total of 742 women directors appointed to boards, marking a rise of 13 compared to the previous year. As we mark International Women's Day today, March 8, we highlight the importance of women's rights while celebrating their achievements in various cultural, political, and socio-economic spheres.
