With iOS 16, iPhone users can easily track live sports scores, like cricket or football, directly on their lock screen using the Live Activity feature. For iPhones with Dynamic Island, this feature is even more interactive, allowing users to stay updated on scores while using other apps.

Live Activity is supported on any iPhone running iOS 16.1 or later, but it works best on models with Dynamic Island, such as the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, or iPhone 16 series.

To enable Live Activity for sports apps:

For iPhones with Dynamic Island, Live Activity will integrate there too. Tapping on the Dynamic Island widget will open the app, while a long press expands it for more score details.

To close Live Activity for an app, simply swipe the widget away from the lock screen. Popular cricket apps in India, like Cric Pulse and Cricbuzz, support Live Activity.

Note: Enabling “More Frequent Updates” may impact battery life, as it requires constant app refreshes in the background.
