Satellier-Screampoint launched 'digital city solutions' which allows the user to view the project three-dimensionally on a real-time basis.

In what could be a new chapter,in providing assistance to the planning of urban development in India, construction modelling solution provider Satellier-Screampoint launched ‘digital city solutions’ which allows the user to view the project three-dimensionally on a real-time basis.

This digital technology captures, stores, analyses, manages, and presents data that is linked to a particular location and helps in resource management, asset management, archaeology, environmental impact assessment and urban planning.

Satellier-Screampoint Group CEO Michael Jansen, who has been residing in Delhi since 14 years heralds the launch as a perfect timing for India,a country which he claims is at the threshold of the real estate boom while the rest of the world is reeling under the global slowdown.

Talking about their global operations and the acceptance of digital technology elsewhere,Jansen feels some of the countries have been far ahead in adopting the ‘digital solutions’ to improve planning and development of the infrastructure.

“We are already offering this solution through pilot projects in Dubai and China and are looking at leveraging the product in India as well. We are talking to various Governments, including Delhi,Jansen said.

Satellier-Screampoint downplayed the effect of recession on its business. Jansen clarified that the company expects to double its revenue in India,in the next fiscal on the back of new solutions that will help people cut costs amid the economic slowdown.
