Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 12 5G, a budget-friendly smartphone that offers 5G connectivity and powerful performance. The handset is the first in India to feature the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is built on a flagship-level 4nm architecture and supports faster 5G speeds, lower latency, and improved power efficiency.
The Redmi 12 5G also boasts a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, a peak brightness of 550 nits, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The device has a crystal glass design with a premium glass back and an infinite camera deco setup. The rear camera consists of a 50MP AI main camera and a 2MP depth camera, while the front camera has an 8MP sensor.
The Redmi 12 5G runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 with an MIUI dialer for a more streamlined experience. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both sides. The device comes with three storage variants: 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB, all of which support virtual RAM and expandable storage up to 1TB.
The Redmi 12 5G is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will be available across Mi.com, Amazon.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio, and authorised retail partners.
