WWDC 2024 Apple Event Live Streaming Details: Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is here. Happening at Apple Park, Cupertino, California, the company will announce the next-generation operating system for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more possibly with AI magic.

This time, generative artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to be the event’s highlight. Apple will showcase some of the upcoming Gen-AI-powered tools for various Apple products.

WWDC 24 will be an in-person event meant for select media, analysts, and developers. It will also be live-streamed on YouTube, X, and the company’s official website. The event will commence at 10.30 PM IST and is expected to last over an hour. During that period, Apple will likely showcase the upcoming iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and more, primarily highlighting the new AI features.

It is said that the Cupertino giant might brand its AI features as “Apple Intelligence.” This could include a revamped Siri with ChatGPT-like conversational capabilities. It is also expected to supercharge other first-party apps like Notes, Music, Voice Memo, and more with generative AI capabilities.

Depending on the device and the service, some are expected to use the neural processing unit (NPU) for on-device AI experiences, while others are expected to rely on cloud-based inferencing. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has teamed up with OpenAI to provide AI experiences on iPhones. Apple is also anticipated to introduce new tools, such as AI-supported Xcode, to assist developers in creating apps and games using AI.

It is speculated that only select devices, such as the iPhone 15 Pro series, may receive the full range of new AI features. For iPads and Macs, only devices with the M1 or newer chip may benefit from “Apple Intelligence.”

Soon after the event, Apple is expected to release early versions of this software for developers to help them optimize their apps and services for the upcoming update.
