The price of the Galaxy S25 series starts at Rs 80,999 for the base variant of the Galaxy S25 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, while the Galaxy S25 Plus starts at Rs 99,999 for the same 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and lastly, the Galaxy S25 Ultra with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage is priced at Rs 1,29,999. All three phones are already available for pre-order, and will be available for purchase starting February 7.

This time, the series includes three devices: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. All three devices are currently available for pre-order and will go on sale starting February 7.
Taking viewers and attendees by surprise, Samsung teased its upcoming thin and modular smartphone – the Galaxy S25 Edge – at Galaxy Unpacked 2025. The device seems to be Samsung’s thinnest and lightest smartphone ever.

Galaxy S25 Ultra features durable titanium and the new Corning Gorilla Armor 2, a first-of- its-kind material that is more durable than glass. It combines Corning’s glass-ceramic with a proprietary anti-reflective surface treatment, helping to ensure advanced drop protection alongside anti-reflection surface treatment and scratch resistance.
Every external component of Galaxy S25+ and S25 now includes at least one recycled material, as their metal frame incorporates recycled armor aluminum for the first time.
Galaxy S25 will be the first Galaxy smartphone to feature batteries made with recycled cobalt sourced from previous Galaxy devices or the batteries discarded during the manufacturing process.
A visible watermark will be overlaid on the image output upon saving in order to indicate that the image is generated by AI.

Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Unpacked event, market analyst firm Canalys shares some key estimates and insights with us. S24 shipments increased by 24.5% to 32m units in 2024 (Q1-Q3), Canalys said.

As per reports, Samsung is working with Google and Qualcomm to develop a new set of XR under Project Moohan. The extended reality wearable will be based on the Android XR operating system. Rumours suggest that the XR glasses could be launched this year, though we doubt that it will be today.

Samsung recently teased its much improved Sketch to Image feature, which, as you might have guessed leverages the power of generative AI to turn rough sketches into images. Previously, the Sketch to Image only transformed the sketch and did not modify it. However, the much improved functionality will now let you to do things like draw a cat using the S-Pen and type spacesuit to put it in a space suit.
For the last couple of months, Samsung has been testing several new features for the Galaxy S25 series, one of which is "Now Bar", an AI-powered feature that shows personalised information in a floating island on the Lock Screen.
The company said the AI-powered feature "gives personalization a new meaning by seamlessly integrating your everyday actions and most-used apps." Now Bar is also getting 'Now Brief', which will give users a quick sneak peek of things like messages, emails, weather, health and stock alerts.
While nothing is certain at the moment, a recent report by a South Korean publication hinted that the Galaxy S25 series phones may be significantly more expensive compared to last year's Galaxy S24 series. A reason behind the price hike can be attributed to Qualcomm's latest chipset - the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is known to drive up the bill of materials.
When it comes to AI integration, Google Gemini may take center stage on the upcoming Galaxy S25 series devices. Like Siri, users may be able to activate Gemini using the “Hey Gemini” command and even ask the AI-powered digital assistant to control some built-in utility apps.
In the invitation video to the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung hinted that a new AI-powered version of Bixby may make an appearance on the Galaxy S25 series phones. While it is still unclear which AI model Samsung's digital assistant will use, if we take at the new Bixby already available in China, it looks like Bixby will be able to answer complex queries with multiple steps and even offer detailed step-by-step guides for performing certain tasks on your Galaxy device.

Samsung has confirmed that One UI 7, which is slated to be one of the major upgrades to Samsung's Android skin in years will be shipping with the Galaxy S25 series devices, with older phones scheduled to get it in the coming months. Also, like last year, the soon-to-be-launched Galaxy S25 series devices are likely to get 7 years of OS updates and security patches, meaning these Samsung phones will be updated till Android 22.
The South Korean tech giant also annnounced that the much-anticipated One UI 7 update will be coming to all eligible Galaxy S series devices by the end of first quarter of 2025, so users will have to wait a couple of more months to get the Android 15 update.
In the last few months, several leaks and rumours have hinted that Samsung may be once again playing safe with the Galaxy S25 Ultra's battery. Since the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung has packed in a 5,000mAh battery, and the same may be true for the company's upcoming premium device. With the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung had ditched rounded corners in favour of a pointy rectangle-ish body, which many say makes it uncomfortable when keeping the phone in the pocket without a cover. However, recently leaked promotional of the Galaxy S25 Ultra suggests that Samsung may finally be re-embracing rounded corners, which should make it easier to hold the phone and offer a more comfortable grip.
Samsung debuted the new Galaxy S24 smartphone series, marking the beginning of the AI story on smartphones. However, the first wave of modern AI features have felt more gimmicky than truly groundbreaking. With Samsung holding its Unpacked event today in San Jose, California, the company may enter a second phase of AI rollout on its Galaxy S25 series smartphones.
