Almost three months after its global launch, Samsung has introduced its maiden ring––Galaxy Ring––in India for Rs 38,999. One of the most expensive smart rings available in the country, it will be available on Samsung’s official website, and at select retail stores as well as e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.

Users can purchase the ring with 24-month, no-cost EMI plans, which will amount to Rs 1,625 per month. Samsung is offering a free 25W fast charger to those who buy the ring before October 18.

“Galaxy Ring is not just another wearable, it’s a revolutionary health-tech device that blends innovation with accessibility. With advanced AI-driven insights, 24/7 health monitoring and a sleek, lightweight design, it empowers users to seamlessly track their wellness anytime, anywhere. With Galaxy Ring, we’re paving the way for a healthier, more connected future for all,” said Aditya Babbar, vice president, MX Business, Samsung India.

The Galaxy Ring comes in nine different sizes––from a size 5 (smallest) to size 13––and weighs just 2.3 grams. Those unsure of the size have the option of purchasing a ring size kit from Samsung before ordering the original product.

The Galaxy Ring is designed to be a 24/7 health monitoring device and offers various fitness and health-related features. The ring needs to be paired with an Android smartphone, and it works best when partnered with a Samsung phone.

The ring can monitor most things that a smartwatch can, including Sleep, Activity, Sleeping Heart Rate and Sleeping Heart Rate Variability. It uses AI for sleep and snoring analysis and can generate health metrics using AI to offer a unique Energy Score.

On top of that, it offers wellness tips using comprehensive data analysis along with personalised insights as per the user’s fitness goals. The Ring can auto-detect workouts such as running and walking, it can also offer insights and alerts about high and low heart rates.

On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to a week and it comes with a jewellery box-like charging cradle with a transparent design, similar to most TWS earphones. When paired with a Galaxy Watch, the Galaxy Ring can offer better fitness and wellness tracking along with improved battery life of up to 30 per cent.
