Samsung accidentally leaks ‘OneUI 6’ with a revamped quick panel

As excitement grows in anticipation of Samsung’s forthcoming custom OneUI 6 skin, built on top of Android 14, Samsung Germany accidentally published a press note, providing users with a glimpse of features and enhancements on the upcoming custom Android skin.

As per the release, which has been taken down instantly, the OneUI 6 beta will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series of smartphones in the USA, Korea, and Germany. It highlights the redesigned quick panel, which looks a lot different from the one on the current OneUI 5.

According to Samsung, OneUI 6 has been intentionally designed to look simple, and it is also said to have several new features, including reworked first-party apps, a new camera widget, custom background images for appropriate situations, and several visual adjustments.

Considering this leak, it looks like Samsung could be in the final leg of testing the first beta of OneUI 6, and the same is likely to go official in the coming days.

Samsung’s OneUI has been praised for the richness and the amount of customisation features that it offers. Over the years, the company has made several tweaks to OneUI, and with version 6, the company is said to revamp the complete UI to deliver a clean and modern experience.

At first, the OneUI 6 beta will be limited to the current flagship offerings, and the company is likely to expand the same to its mid-range and budget smartphones in the coming days. Samsung is also one of the few Android smartphone OEMs that offers four major OS upgrades on its mid-range and high-end devices.
