Polar Loop weighs just 29 grams. (Image Source: Polar)Polar, a popular wearable sports brand, has announced that it is bringing the Polar Loop to India. The company says its first screenless smartband is discreet and is designed for 24/7 activity tracking, sleep and keeping a tab on overall health. Also, unlike other solutions in the market, like Oura, Polar Loop is a one-time purchase, with every feature available out of the box with no subscription. The device comes with a lightweight textile strap with a buckle and weighs just 29 grams with the wristband.
The Polar Loop’s case and bezel are made from stainless steel and pack the company’s Precision Prime and optical heart rate sensor alongside an accelerometer. It can last up to 8 days in smartwatch mode, can be charged using the proprietary USB-C cable and comes with a 2-year warranty.
Like all fitness bands, you get step tracking, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring and other standard tracking features. The Polar Loop can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth using the Polar Flow app, which also offers features like route recording, voice guidance, customisable training targets, manual workout logging and automatic sync.
Another thing to note is that Polar says the Loop can store data up to four weeks without syncing. The company says that its data storage policy also gives users the option to view, export or permanently delete their information at any time.
Available in three colourways – Greige Sand, Night Black and Brown Copper, the Polar Loop is now available for purchase on Amazon and Polar’s official website for Rs 19,999. Interested buyers also have the option to get additional wristbands for Rs 1,999 each.
