OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its next flagship, the OnePlus 15, at a global launch event on November 13. The new model is expected to focus on performance, thermal efficiency and battery life — three areas where OnePlus has consistently tried to push boundaries.
The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate, promising smooth motion and sharper visuals. It also supports native 165fps gameplay, with a peak brightness of 1800 nits for outdoor visibility and a dim 1 nit option for comfortable night use.
Under the hood, the device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, paired with a new triple-chip architecture designed to handle demanding tasks without stutter. OxygenOS 16, which comes pre-installed, brings enhanced system-level optimisation for multitasking and gaming.
For gamers, the phone supports 120fps gameplay without frame drops, and a custom ±4000 DPS gyroscope improves precision during motion-based controls. Heat management has been given special attention — the 360° Cryo-Velocity Cooling System combines a 3D vapour chamber, aerogel insulation, and a white graphite back to distribute heat evenly during long sessions.
Powering all this is a 7300mAh Silicon NanoStack battery, the largest ever on a OnePlus device. It uses silicon anode technology to increase energy density and supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. A Bypass Charging mode also allows gamers to power the device directly, reducing heat build-up. OnePlus claims the battery retains over 80% health after four years and can function in temperatures as low as -20°C.
The OnePlus 15 is also rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance, suggesting a highly durable build. More details, including pricing and regional availability, will be revealed during the global launch on November 13 at 7 PM.
