With Windows 10, Microsoft wants to unify the PC and mobile platforms into one ecosystem. Microsoft is rolling out a new preview version of Windows 10 Mobile software that enables Cortana to send texts from your PC. Cortana will notify Windows 10 mobile users of any missed calls and then can reply straight from their PC.
Microsoft says PC users running Windows 10 build 10565 can even text directly from their PC by simply typing or saying Text followed by name of a contact to Cortana. Cortana on your PC will take the message and send it from your phone. This feature works by using the same Microsoft account on both phone and PC. Microsoft is also allowing users to disable this feature from Cortana’s notebook.
