“Phone (3) is built to show that there’s still room for joy, identity, and creativity in the tech we carry every day,” said Nothing CEO and Co-founder Carl Pei during the product launch event in London. “The phone builds on an idea we’ve had since Phone (1): turning the internal logic of the phone into something visual, emotional, and even architectural.”
The phone has a 6.67-inch OLED display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. The brand is ditching the Glyph lighting system, previously used to alert users about notifications, and is introducing the new Glyph Matrix interface on the back of the phone.
The Nothing Headphone 1, on the other hand, features a distinctive design comprising squircle-shaped earcups, see-through elements, and support for a 3.5 mm audio cable. Its design resembles quirky cassette tapes, available in black or silver, with “Nothing Headphone 1” branding on one earcup and “Sound by KEF” on the other.

Push the paddle button to the right and left to change tracks or to answer reject calls, hold to scrub forward or to rewind, just like the old Walkman days. And there's certainly a few of you who can remember those.

Rewind: Nothing Phone 2
Nothing Phone 3 will be public in a few hours. The predecessor to the smartphone, Nothing Phone 2, was launched on 11 July 2023. The device featured a 6.7-inch display and was powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Upon its launch, the device attracted positive user reviews with many raving about its build quality, performance, and display. The phone featured Nothing OS, which has been noted for its fluid interface.
Unlike previous models, the Nothing Phone 3 won’t have the company’s iconic Glyph interface. Instead will have a new design called “Glyph Matrix”.
This might be similar to ASUS ROG Phone 8’s Mini-LED programmable matrix. Like its predecessor, the upcoming phone is likely to feature a transparent back panel that shows the internals of the device.

Nothing Phone 3: What to expect
Pricing: Nothing CEO Carl Pei has previously said that the Phone 3 will be priced around £800 pounds, which currently translates to $1,063 or Rs 90,500, as per the current exchange rate. This would make it Nothing’s most expensive smartphone to date.
Performance: The company has confirmed that the incoming flagship will be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
OS: Based on leaks and rumours, Nothing will come with the latest Android 16 out of the box. It has already announced that the Phone (3) will receive software support for a minimum of seven years, with five years of full Android OS updates and another two years of security patches only.
Camera alignment: It will also boast a 50-megapixel primary camera that has been “built for creators”. A leaked image reveals that the Phone (3) has a translucent back and three center-aligned cameras. However, another purportedly leaked image shows two cameras lined up next to each other and another that’s in the corner of the phone and not really aligned with anything else.
Design: Pei has said that Phone 3 would be designed out of “premium materials”. It will also likely sport a Glyph matrix on the top-right corner of the smartphone.
