Microsoft is currently testing a new UI for its Xbox gaming console, when compared to the current one, the upcoming iteration makes the console looks even more modern and up-to-date. The new Xbox Home UI will soon be available for the latest Xbox Series S and the Series X and the company is currently beta testing the same amongst the community.

This is the 2nd major iteration of revamped Xbox Home UI, which has been developed based on user feedback. The earlier version of the Home UI received a lot of criticism for being too crowded.

When compared to the current UI, the new Xbox Home UI has incorporated rounded-off corners for the apps and games icons. Similarly, the new UI also highlights the background wallpaper with quick access buttons to various services.

According to Microsoft, the key highlights of the new Xbox Home UI include easy navigation to the game library, Microsoft store, and Xbox game pass. On top of that, it also offers new quick menu access. Similarly, the updated UI also offers a simplified layout with more space for the background to highlight and the company has achieved this by reducing the size of select tiles.

Lastly, the new update also introduces responsive game art to the background, which will dynamically change when the user hovers around each tile. The update is currently live for selected Xbox Insiders and the company is also offering support and assistance via the Xbox Insider subreddit.
