LG launches XBOOM speaker series, headlined by the 1000W XL9T: Price and features

LG recently launched three new XBOOM series speakers, which includes a 1000W party speaker, a portable 20W omnidirectional speaker and a 5W compact speaker with IP67 and MIL-STD protection.

LG Electronics today unveiled three new XBOOM series speakers, which comprise the XG2T, XL9T and XO2T models. While the XBOOM XL9T is a party speaker with a 1000W output, the XBOOM XO2T is a 360-degree omnidirectional speaker with a sound output of 20W. The company also launched the XBOOM GO XG2T, a compact 5W speaker designed for outdoor adventurers.

LG said that its new XBOOM speaker lineup is designed to adapt “to every environment with powerful audio, lighting features and durability.” The biggest of the lot is the new XBOOM XL9T, a 1000W party speaker that features dual 8-inch woofers and 3-inch tweeters. The IPX4-rated gigantic speaker also features the company’s new pixel LED light with woofer lighting that can be customised according to user preferences. The app allows users to show customised text, characters and emojis, something that adds a personalised touch to parties and gatherings.

The LG XBOOM XO2T is a portable speaker that offers 360-degree omnidirectional sound, which allows users to enjoy music no matter where they are in a room. The 20W speaker also has mood-enhancing lighting with a transparent glass effect that helps diffuse the light and can last up to 15 hours on a single charge. It offers IP55 water resistance and comes with multi-point connectivity and the company’s One Touch Mode.

Designed for outdoor adventurers, the LG XBOOM GO X2GT is a portable 5W speaker that comes with US Military Standard durability and IP67 rating, which the company says can help it withstand extreme conditions. During the demo, LG put the XBOOM GO X2GT under a wheel’s tyre and threw it on the ground from a height of around six feet to showcase its durability. It also comes with a customisable string that allows users to easy attach the speaker to backpacks, tents, bicycles and other things, making it easy to carry on the go.

The new LG XBOOM series will be available for purchase on LG website and e-commerce platform from November 15. The LG XBOOM XG2T is priced at Rs 4,990 while the XO2T and XL9T can be purchased for Rs 12,990 and Rs 64,900 respectively.
