On Wednesday, Jio introduced a new prepaid recharge plan termed the “New Year Welcome” plan. Priced at Rs 2025, this plan comes with 200 days of validity with 2.5 GB of 4G data per day along with unlimited 5G data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day. Besides, it also includes additional benefits of Rs 2025 from partners like Ajio and Swiggy. Jio's New Year Welcome plan offers a total of 500 GB 4G data and unlimited 5G data. This offer will be valid from December 11, 2024, to January 11, 2025. Users with an active plan can stack up this on top of the existing plan. It will get activated as soon as the current plan expires. The plan is already live on the MyJio app, which when compared to other online recharge platforms, does not charge any convenience fee. The plan also offers a Rs 500 Ajio coupon redeemable on a minimum order value of Rs 2,999, a Rs 1,500 EaseMyTrip coupon, which can be redeemed on flight tickets, and a Rs 150 coupon, redeemable on orders above Rs 499. Compared to Jio's most affordable monthly recharge plan with unlimited 5G access, the New Year Welcome plan is more economical and is more than Rs 450 cheaper overall.
