Apple has added new battery capabilities to the iPhone 15 series, which can now display additional details and information on battery health and capacity. Across the iPhone 15 lineup, users can obtain information such as the battery manufacture date, first use date, and battery cycle count.

These details will help users gain insight into their iPhone 15 series battery, ensuring that the iPhone indeed has a newer battery. Similarly, it also logs the activation date of the battery, and this information is now accessible to the user, providing details about the actual activation date of the iPhone.

Lastly, the battery cycle indicates the number of charges and discharges. A single battery cycle represents one complete charge and discharge, and the new iPhone batteries are designed to retain over 80 per cent of their charge capacity after 500 cycles.

There is also another new feature that allows users to prevent their brand-new iPhone 15 from charging beyond 80 per cent, which will help sustain battery health for a longer period. Do note that, when the battery capacity goes down, the performance of the device also suffers.

When these new features are combined with the already existing optimized battery charging, maximum battery capacity, and clean energy charging, Apple iPhones clearly lead their Android counterparts in delivering critical battery-related information to users. This also includes an update that automatically suggests users replace the battery when it becomes old.
