Hammer, an Indian company known for budget-friendly smart wearables has unveiled a new pair of wireless earbuds called ‘Hammer Screen TWS’, which as the name suggests, comes with a screen on the case.
Hammer may not have come up with the idea of an on-case screen, but it is the first one to launch a TWS with an on-case display in India. Similar to the JBL Tour Pro 2, which also comes with a display on the case, the Hammer Screen TWS features a touchscreen that lets users quickly control various functionalities like music playback and toggle between various equalizer presets. On top of that, users will also be able to quickly accept or reject calls on their phone from the on-case screen.
The video also suggests that the Hammer Screen TWS will come with a ‘Find My Earphones’ feature on the screen that will help you quickly find your earbuds, but it is still unclear how the functionality will work. The wireless earbuds also support ‘Active Noise Cancellation’, which can also be toggled from the on-case screen.
However, the company has yet to share details like the size of the on-case screen, driver size of the earbuds themselves and battery life. Hammer Screen TWS are currently available for pre-order on its official website for Rs 2,999, but the company says they will start shipping the product from April 20 because of high demand.
