Google has introduced a unique Pixel upgrade program for India, which helps customers upgrade their smartphones every year. Available for everyone, Google says the new financing and upgrade initiative is “designed to make Pixel ownership more accessible, while offering customers a simple, convenient way to upgrade to their next Pixel.”
As part of the Pixel Upgrade Program, interested customers will be able to buy select Pixel smartphones on a 24-month no-cost EMI plan, which starts at Rs 3.333 per month. Customers will have the option to upgrade to a new Pixel phone after completing nine monthly payments.
Google says the Pixel Upgrade Program comprises of a four step procevss. First, customers will have to select which Pixel 10 series device they want to buy, after which they will have to purchase the phone from their nearest partner store with a 24-month no-cost EMI plan. Lastly, they will have to enrol themselves on the Google Pixel Upgrade Program on the Cashify website within a month of their purchase.
When customers have paid nine EMIs and haven’t completed their 15th EMI, they will have the option to upgrade to a new Pixel phone. At the time, Cashify will be responsible for crediting the customer’s bank account with the amount equal to the remaining balance of their original EMI loan and closing the old loan without having to pay any pre-closure charges. When done, they will be enrolled in a fresh 24-month no-cost EMI plan for the new device.
If you enrol in the program, Google says customers will also be eligible for an exchange bonus of up to Rs 7,000. It also comes with an assured buyback guarantee, which Google says works as long as the Pixel phone powers on and meets basic functional checks. The limited-time Pixel Upgrade Program is being launched in partnership with Bajaj Finance, Cashify and HDFC Bank and will be running till June 30, 2026, across select retail stores.
