While the exact cause of the glitch is yet to be known, Garmin has acknowledged the issue and is currently said to be investigating and is likely to issue a software update to patch the bug.

According to a post on the Garmin Forum, some users have witnessed as many as 400,000 crashes in one app since August, and it is currently affecting models including Venu 3, FR965, and FR265. Initially, it was considered to have affected only limited users, however, it has turned out to be a widespread issue, affecting thousands of Garmin watch users across the world.

Reports have said the latest software update is behind the glitch with a faulty line of code causing storage errors and system crashes.

For now, users can restart their Garmin watch whenever it crashes. If you are a Garmin watch user, then it is best to wait for an update, which should patch the bug. If you are on a previous build, do not install the update, and also keep an eye on the changelog while installing the newest software build.
