It is still unclear if the new service will be complimentary for Flipkart Plus members. (File Photo) Flipkart recently teased a new service called ‘Plus Premium’, which will be available for free in addition to its existing ‘Flipkart Plus’ programme. The existing service offers early access to sales, additional discounts, free delivery and rewards users with virtual currency which they can spend to buy more products and get discounts.
However, unlike ‘Flipkart Plus’, which costs ‘200 Supercoins’, ‘Plus Premium’ will be available for free. For the uninitiated, Flipkart rewards users with 4 Supercoins for every Rs 100 you spend on the e-commerce platform.
In addition to early bird offers and rewards, Flipkart Plus members can also avail discounts on Swiggy, Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Mojo Pizza, Mobikwik and purchase Zee5, Sony Liv, Airtel Xstream and more memberships using Supercoins.

Moreover, it is still unclear if Flipkart Plus Premium will be available to Plus members for free or if they would need to spend Supercoins to get the same.
While the company is yet to share any details about the benefits associated with Plus Premium, the teaser suggests Flipkart will unveil perks associated with the new service 14 days from now. This falls in line with Flipkart’s annual Independence Day Sale, which usually commences around August 15.
Earlier this year, Flipkart showed interest in the second-hand mobile phone market in India and introduced an AC replacement programme.
