Facebook and Instagram suffered a global outage on November 20, with the company blaming a bug in their server for this problem. Facebook appeared to be down for a number of users, and the company had acknowledged the issue on Twitter as well. The official Facebook Twitter handle had posted, "We know some people are having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible." Later, Facebook posted saying that there was bug in their server which caused the problem. The issue was resolved around five hours after the original post from Facebook. "Earlier today a bug in our server caused some people to have trouble accessing our apps. The issue has since been resolved – we’re back to 100% for everyone – and we’re sorry for the inconvenience," posted the company. The official Instagram account had also tweeted about the problem, and adding that the company knew people were having trouble accessing Instagram right now. "We know this is frustrating, and we’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible," they had added. According to the website Downdetector, which tracks outages on popular websites across the world, Facebook and Instagram was down in UK, US, parts of Europe, Mexico and parts of India as well. Users took to Twitter to post with #FacebookDown on the outage. Check out the tweets below: We know some people are having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps.
