Apple rolls out iPhone protection in India with AppleCare+ for Theft and Loss

Apple has introduced a new option that covers theft and loss of an iPhone in addition to expanding its AppleCare+ insurance plans in India. For the first time, Indian consumers are receiving such comprehensive protection straight from Apple. The plans are now more affordable thanks to the company’s introduction of monthly and annual payment choices.

Apple’s official protection program is called AppleCare+. It provides support and repairs for unintentional damage, going above and beyond the typical one-year guarantee. Indian consumers were limited to standard AppleCare+ subscriptions up until this point, which included coverage for things like battery maintenance and unintentional damage. With the latest update, Apple is providing more customisable choices, such as a monthly subscription for those who choose not to pay the entire cost at once.

The biggest change is the launch of AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone, a plan that starts at Rs 799 per month and covers up to two incidents of theft or loss annually, meaning that Apple will replace your iPhone if it is lost or stolen. This is a significant addition because the majority of users in India were depending on third-party insurance for this kind of protection.

The plan covers everything included in standard AppleCare+, except for theft and loss. This provides priority customer assistance at all times, unlimited accidental damage repairs using original Apple parts, and battery replacement when the battery’s health falls below a certain threshold.

The gadget is guaranteed to receive authentic parts and professional servicing because the repairs and replacements are performed either at Apple Stores or at approved Apple Authorised servicing Providers.

Additionally, Apple has made it incredibly simple for users to purchase and administer these subscriptions. From the Settings app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, users can view all plan options, verify their eligibility, and purchase a subscription. As soon as the plan is purchased, coverage starts.

With these modifications, Apple is now bringing India up to speed with other areas where theft and loss insurance and monthly AppleCare+ plans have been offered for years.
