With Apple all set to unveil the iPhone 16 series at its upcoming Glowtime event on September 9, many are looking forward to the tech giant’s next generation Apple Watch. Historically, the tech giant has unveiled new smartwatches alongside new iPhones, but what makes this year’s event so special is that it will be the 10th anniversary of Apple announcing its first smartwatch.

While it is still uncertain if Apple will name the smartwatch Watch X, several leaks and rumours have hinted that the upcoming device will offer new health features and bring some incremental upgrades over its predecessor. From design to new health tracking features, Here’s everything we know so far about the much anticipated Apple Watch X.

Based on leaks and rumours from various sources, YouTube creator Concept Central has created renders of what the upcoming Apple Watch might look like.

Bigger screen

In the last few years, Apple has been progressively increasing the screen size on the Apple Watch. While nothing is official at the moment, renowned Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo suggests that the upcoming smartwatch will be available in 45mm and 49mm, which is much bigger compared to the current generation’s 41mm and 45mm size.

New health features

Apple has been constantly adding new health tracking features like blood-oxygen monitoring, temperature sensing and more in the last few years.

This year, the Apple Watch X could bring some new health features like blood pressure monitoring, blood pressure journal and sleep apnea detection to name a few. The tech giant is also reportedly working on a way to check blood glucose levels, but it is highly unlikely this functionality will be available with the Apple Watch X.

Revamped design

According to a recent post on X by the known Apple tipster Majin Bu, the tech giant might overhaul the design of the upcoming smartwatch. Apart from a slimmer bezel, the Apple Watch X is said to have an Apple Watch Ultra like speaker grill with holes on both instead of straight lines.

Also, rumour has it that Apple will finally be ditching stainless steel and replace it with a titanium finish. However, there are no details about the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
