Apple unveils Mac Pro and Mac Studio, price starts at Rs 2,09,900 and Rs 7,79,900 respectively

If you want more power, the Mac Studio also comes with the M2 Ultra chip that offers double the performance of the M2 Max, making it the company’s most powerful SoC ever. It is 3x faster than Mac Studio with M1 Ultra and features a 24-core CPU paired with a 76-core GPU and 192GB unified memory.

On the connectivity front, the Mac Studio now supports 8K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. It also includes 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10GB ethernet port, an enhanced HDMI port, 2USB Type-A ports, 2 USB Type-C ports and one SD card slot.

Mac Pro

The updated Mac Pro is powered by the M2 Ultra and is one of the biggest upgrades in the last few years. It has a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU with the base variant offering twice the memory and SSD storage compared to its Intel counterpart. According to Apple, the new Mac Pro has one of the most advanced workstation graphic cards and offers the performance of seven Afterburner cards and can play 22 streams of 8K ProRes video.

It also supports 7 PCIe expansion slots, with 6 supporting PCIe Gen 4. The new Mac Pro gets 8 built-in Thunderbolt 4 ports (6 at the back and 2 on top), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 3 USB Type-A ports, 2 enhanced HDMI ports, 2 10GB ethernet ports and a headphone jack.

Mac Pro and Mac Studio: Price and availability

The new Mac Pro and Mac Studio can be ordered starting today on the Apple Store app or from the Apple website. Mac Studio starts from Rs 2,09,900 and Rs 1,88,900 for education.

The Mac Pro comes with both tower and rack-mounted enclosures. While the rack-mounted Mac Pro starts from Rs 7,29,900 and Rs 6,87,900 for education, the tower enclosure starts from Rs 7,79,900 and Rs 7,27,900 respectively.
