It appears that Apple is not holding its annual Mac product launch event this October. However, Greg Joswiak, the company’s senior vice president (SVP), hinted that next week will witness Mac announcements starting Monday, November 28. Engaging in some word play, Joswiak asked his followers on X to ‘Mac’ their calendars for an exciting week of announcements ahead.
There have been several rumours afloat about the latest versions of Macbooks. The upcoming announcements could likely focus on Apple’s transition to the M4 chip. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had dropped several hints in his Power on Newsletter, indicating that the Cupertino-based tech giant was planning to announce a suite of Macs powered by the new M4 chipset, along with a refreshed iPad Mini.
The announcements next week may focus on some new updates to the iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini. Apple may release a slew of press releases over the week along with some videos. The company has also reportedly invited a select group of tech influencers to an in-person, hands-on event in Los Angeles next week.

Apple announced the M4 chip in the new iPad Pros in May this year, so it was expected that the high-performance chip would soon be integrated into a new lineup of Macs. The new lineup may include a low-end, 14-inch MacBook Pro, high-end 14, and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a new iMac, and a new Mac Mini. There are also reports that suggest that the upcoming Mac Mini may feature a refreshed design.
Recent leaks showed that the MacBook Pro with the M4 chip might start with 16GB RAM with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an upgrade from the three ports currently in the base model. The new MacBook will likely have a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, an upgrade from the M3 chip’s 8-core CPU design. Meanwhile, the high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will likely get upgrades on their specifications, and may come with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips inside.
There are also reports that Apple is working towards some upgrades on the 24-inch iMac as it currently sports the M3 chip. The new iMac may also come with 16GB RAM and two more CPU cores.
