In Delhi-NCR, Amazon to deliver select smartphones within hours

Amazon is currently testing the 'Faster than Same Day' service in Delhi-NCR for all seven days in a week.

Amazon India has announced the launch its ‘Faster than Same Day’ service for select smartphones in Delhi and NCR. Under this service, customers will be able to get the smartphones they order from the platform delivered to them within three to five hours.

The company has said this service will be made available to all Prime members free of cost, whereas, non-prime members can opt-in for this service by paying Rs 150 per order. However, it is recommended that all non-prime members sign up for the monthly Prime Membership program at Rs 129 per month and then place the order. As this would save them money, while at the same time getting all of the benefits that come along with the membership. But, don’t forget to cancel the membership after the month ends.

Amazon is currently testing out the ‘Faster than Same Day’ service in Delhi-NCR for all seven days in a week. Consumers can place the order till 6 pm to be eligible for this. If a consumer is purchasing an eligible device, he/she will see a delivery option for the same and a banner with ‘Get this phone even faster. Delivery within 5 hours.’

Commenting on the launch, Akhil Saxena, VP, Customer Fulfilment, Amazon India said: “Amazon India has a robust fulfilment and transportation network that enables us to innovate constantly, deliver faster and more efficiently. With the launch of this pilot, our customers in Delhi-NCR can order smartphones and receive their order in just a few hours without changing the way they shop. This new service will enable us to better serve our customers and also support our Prime members with free and fast delivery, especially this festive season.”
